The information published on Mentas — prices, charts, signals, conviction scores, divergences, backtests, simulations, news and any other content — is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

Nothing on Mentas constitutes investment advice, a personalised recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument. Mentas is not an investment services provider and does not carry out any regulated financial advisory activity.

Past performance, including backtest and simulation results, is not indicative of future performance. A backtest is a theoretical historical reconstruction: it reflects neither actual fees, nor liquidity, nor the execution conditions of a real market.

Investing in financial markets involves risks, including the risk of partial or total loss of the invested capital. You remain solely responsible for your investment decisions. Before making any decision, assess your personal situation and, if necessary, consult a licensed financial adviser.

The market data displayed comes from public sources and third-party providers. It may be subject to delays, interruptions, inaccuracies or errors beyond our control. Mentas guarantees neither the accuracy, nor the completeness, nor the continuous availability of this data, and disclaims all liability for decisions made on the basis of it.

2. Privacy policy (GDPR)

This policy describes how Mentas processes your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés). The data controller is the publisher of Mentas (see the legal notice below), who can be reached at contact@mentas.app.

2.1 Data collected

• Account data: e-mail address and name, provided when you create your account, as well as your password (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
• Content you create: watchlists, trading journal, simulations (paper trading, backtests) and community posts. This content is linked to your account.
• Local preferences: interface theme and language, stored only on your device (localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers.
• Usage analytics (upcoming): anonymised usage statistics via PostHog (hosted in the European Union), to understand how features are used and improve the service.
• Error reports (upcoming): technical reports via Sentry in the event of an application malfunction, in order to fix bugs.

Mentas does not collect any real personal financial data: the portfolios, simulations and journals you enter are declarative data that you choose to record.

2.2 Legal basis for processing

Account data and the content you create are processed on the basis of the performance of the contract (provision of the Mentas service). Anonymised analytics and error reports are based on our legitimate interest in maintaining, securing and improving the service.

2.3 Recipients and processors

Your data is neither sold, nor rented, nor shared for commercial or advertising purposes with third parties. It is only accessible to the publisher of Mentas and to the technical processors strictly necessary for the operation of the service:

• OVH SAS (France) — hosting of the servers and data.
• PostHog (EU hosting) — anonymised usage analytics, upcoming.
• Sentry — technical error reports, upcoming.

2.4 Retention periods

Account data and the associated content are kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted when your account is deleted. Analytics data is anonymised and does not allow you to be identified. Local preferences remain on your device and disappear if you clear your browser or app data.

2.5 Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability of your data, as well as a right to object to and to restrict processing based on legitimate interest.

Account deletion is built directly into the application (account settings): it erases your account and the associated data. To exercise your other rights, write to us at contact@mentas.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, the French data protection authority, www.cnil.fr).

2.6 Cookies and local storage

Mentas uses no advertising cookies or commercial trackers. Only technical storage is used: a session token to keep you signed in, and interface preferences (theme, language) saved locally on your device. These elements are strictly necessary for the operation of the service and are not used for any profiling.
